If you don't drink enough water you will risk being constipated. We started the Body by Vi a week ago. I normally drink 3 or 4 cups of liquid when I eat. (It is actually fun to see if the waitress can keep up when we go out to eat. If she does, she gets a big tip.) Since I grab a shake, rather than sit down for a meal my liquid intake decreased. This decrease in fluids caused constipation the first week. I now drink several glasses of water each morning and evening.
It depends on your body's reaction. Some people have stomach problems while taking steroids (such as Prednisone) such as diarrhea or constipation. I'm currently using steroids for a disease flare up and they cause me constipation.
Drinking protein shakes does not cause constipation, unless you get no water or fiber in your body too. The best way to avoid constipation is increase in fluids and fiber.
Yes it can depending on how your body reacts to it
Yes... it can certainly be a cause of constipation. You're body is predominately water, and you need water to properly process and eliminate.
Yes, it's very normal. It's because of the hormones - they affect your whole body and can cause constipation
Pain Medication is known to cause constipation, simply because they slow your entire body down, including your digestive system.
no, but it can cause liver problems Hypercalcemia (too much calcium in the blood) can cause abdominal pain
A diet that can cause constipation would be one that lacks a lot of fluid intake, low fiber intake, and high carbohydrate and fat intake. This makes it very difficult for food waste to leave the body.
While it is common for meds for seizures, as well as many other meds to cause constipation, it is doubtful that constipation can cause these meds to become toxic in the body. But to maintain proper digestive and intestinal health, as well as good health in general, you need to ask your doctor or pharmacist which laxative they recommend.
The simple activated charcoal suspension will cause constipation for most patients and stools will be darkened due to the indigestibility of the charcoal itself. Using Activated Charcoal and Sorbitol Suspension The activated charcoal and sorbitol suspension is the most commonly used form of activated charcoal. Activated charcoal is known to cause constipation so sorbitol is generally used to counteract that side effect. Sorbitol is a sweetener known to cause diarrhea. Sorbitol is mixed with the activated charcoal to counteract the constipation that generally occurs with activated charcoal. While the sorbitol is meant to counteract the constipation likely to develop from the use of activated charcoal, some people may find themselves overly sensitive to this chemical and develop diarrhea. For those who are particularly sensitive to sorbitol, diarrhea may be a very uncomfortable side effect. Darkened stools should always be expected when using activated charcoal because all of the charcoal consumed is passed from the body along with the toxic substance it was meant to treat
Constipation.
One month is not at all normal to be constipated and could be dangerous. You will need to see your doctor to determine the cause.
