No - it's not necessary at night. The UV light is simply replacing the natural UV radiation the lizard would get from basking in direct sunlight. We have to provide artificial UV sources, as UV light cannot pass through glass - which is why you cannot get sunburned indoors !
None. Night time is night time - they don't need lights ! Think about it - In their natural environment, the sundisappears at night - leaving them in total darkness ! To maintain the correct temperature - you need a thermostatically controlled infra-red bulb. These emit no visible light, but do emit heat. It should be surrounded by a wire mesh guard to prevent your lizard touching it, as it will get hot !
We have our UV light on approximately 12 hours a day.

Hmm... 13 inches perhaps !
No but it could carry parasites and kill your dragon. *You should NEVER feed your bearded dragon any wild food no matter how tempting it is.
it takes a bearded dragon about 100 days to die of starvation.
As long as your dragon is healthy it is not dangerous. If you have any concerns, a fecal check should be done prior to brumation.
The bearded dragon will kill and eat the gecko. Geckos need a completely different environment. It is inhumane!
