Usually they feed on warm-blooded animals (that includes us)
I don't think it matters but I do know that they usually drink warm blood.
The reason why vampires in the Twilight series are cold is because they have absolutly no blood in their bodies. Blood makes a body warm, so since they have none they are therefore cold.
Mosquitoes drink whatever blood they find.
Your blood is warm always but when you are cold your blood is warm Your blood is warm always but when you are cold your blood is warm Your blood is warm always but when you are cold your blood is warm

cold blood
Vampire bats are warm-blooded. "Human" vampires are mythical creatures, but if they were to exist, they couldn't be cold-blooded because cold-blooded animals must regulate their body temperature externally, using heating mechanisms from the sun. But if vampires do not have circulatory system, then they are neither warm nor cold-blooded creatures.
Coelenterates are not cold nor warm blooded

They are warm blooded.
Because they are dead. Just like a corpse, vampires have no body temperature. If they drink enough fresh blood, they may warm up a bit but once that blood cools down, so will the vampire. Think of it as cutting off your circulation. The vampire has no circulation. Once you release open up the circulation, color returns (vampire drank blood) but then circulation is cut off once again.
