Anxiety can cause lots of detrimental psychological, and physiological effects in the body. I suppose in extreme cases it could cause blackouts. Typically anxiety is a trigger for other behaviors known to cause blackouts, namely substance abuse.
The blackouts themselves may not disqualify you, but the cause of the blackouts potentially could. It depends on what causes/caused them, exactly.
Blackouts in men can be caused by a variety of factors, including excessive alcohol consumption leading to alcohol-induced blackout. Other potential causes may include dehydration, low blood sugar levels, medication side effects, or underlying medical conditions such as epilepsy or cardiac arrhythmias. It is important for individuals experiencing blackouts to seek medical evaluation to determine the underlying cause and receive appropriate treatment.

You had an alcoholic blackout, one of the first indications of developing alcoholism, or else someone slipped you some other drug. Some benzodiazepine drugs can cause blackouts in combination with alcohol (also comas and death). If it was only alcohol, you badly need to evaluate your drinking behavior and consider quitting while you can -- if you can.
The answer to your question is yes and no. Yes, you can get a blackout when you take alcohol and methadone together. And no, methadone is not the cause of a blackout. If you get a blackout it is strictly from the Alcohol consumption. Of course, methadone will increase your level of intoxication. But if you blackout on methadone, you are either dead or overdosing. Methadone is a very dangerous drug and has an incredibly long half-life. I do NOT recommend mixing methadone and any other drug. If you are going to drink while on methadone, do so in moderation.
