Not necessarily. There are many different types of anemia. One example is sickle-cell anemia. In this condition your red blood cells become sickle shaped and stiff. This makes it hard for them to squeeze through you capillaries.

No it does not thin your blood, it only takes some of it. Your blood will still be the same consistency.

Water does not necessarily thin the blood. In fact in most cases it actually thickens the blood up so that it moves more easily throughout the body.
