Cologne can be designed for men or women, but it is usually aimed at men, so yes, cologne is for men.
Good smell cologne ! :D
Yeah, you will usually only see men wearing cologne. But a women can wear it too. A guy though shouldn't wear perfume unless he's gay.
I am a woman and I do not like to wear strong perfume - I don't wear perfume at all. I complain about women wearing strong perfume. Some scents bother me more than others. The women complaining about men's strong colognes may not be the ones who wear strong perfumes themselves. In places where I have worked, a lot of women complained about anyone, male or female, wearing strong scents. I don't know if it is typical, but the one place I worked where I often overheard co-workers gossiping about men, the women secretly made fun of the guys wearing strong colognes because the guys were strutting about as if they were sexy, but the cologne they chose was almost universally disliked by the women. So, it is possible the women are not complaining about the strength of the cologne, but the scent itself. Another co-worker once told me that it frustrated her that men used cologne as an alternative to showering - to cover up the smell of sweat. They used large quantities, so they bought the cheap colognes that are not necessarily attractive to women. She said it made a horrible stink combining sweat and cheap cologne. (I know that women sometimes do this, too.) So, it could be that the women complaining do not like anyone using strong scents, that the choice of scent is the actual problem, or the reason behind using the cologne is the problem. There are other alternatives, too, such as the women not being accustomed to men wearing scents or, of course, the women being hypocrites. If you prefer to wear colognes, perhaps you should ask your girlfriend or wife to help you choose one. Of, if you do not have a girlfriend or wife but want to wear a cologne while dating, ask a female friend to help you choose one.
