if you have a 2nd gen and its a 4 cyl then u did some real damage, if its a 6 cyl ur good, no damage at all just slap a new belt on no it also depends if u have a zero tolerince motor like in a suzzike or a intreped soon as that belt goes its done and a used motor for them is 1500 a peice and that's used from the junk yard
The timing belt is what keeps the valves from moving in synch with the pistons. If the timing belt snaps or cogs over the pistons are likely to collide with the valves smashing them both.
very carefully.you must remove the timing belt. you will need to relace that. you may have to remove the motor mount on that side of the engine and jack the motor up from unbderneth to gain access to the belts and pump.MAKE SURE that the timing belt is instaled correctly, if it is not the engine will blow up.
the timing belt and tensioner and other internal engine parts that the coolant flows through if there are metal shavings flowing through the the system you can crack the head or even blow your motor up if it is over heating
The engine can be destroyed if this happens. First the head will crack or the head gaskets will blow .
this vehicle has a restricting block which means if the timing belt goes while car is in motion say goodbye! valves will be stabbed into the pistons, crank might crack in half and blow out the bottom of the oil pan..all in all its called preventative mainteneace for a reason..will save you the money!

is a safty patrol belt at five blow
"Blow" is kinda vague, but it sure can get badly damaged.
Hi: You probably have a indoor blower that uses a belt drive system. The belt is probably worn and fraid and small pieces of it that wear or break off are being pushed out your vent by the fan the belt drives. Hope this helps: Jimiwane
abuse, not keep your car maintained. it can blow an engine. If the belt was replaced and then began shredding, the shim washer on the crank may have been installed between the lower crank gear and the block. The shim washer should be between the the crank gear and the crank pulley.
Either the motor has a short, or is seized, for some reason.
Shorting the motor's electrical supply will blow the fuse and the motor will run down and stop.
