It may start before, on, or after the last placebo pill. You should continue taking the pill on schedule regardless of bleeding.

it depends,if your on the 28 pack and take ur sugar pills, it wont stop you from getting ur period.if u wanna miss ur period dont take the sugar pills and continue right away wit the new pack of pills

To my knowledge the last week of birth control pills are placebos. That means they are simply sugar pills that help keep you in a routine. I think the lack of regular birth control pills during that last week cause you to start your period because you stop the hormones associated with those pills. Of course, I haven't taken them for over 10 years and the new types may be different.

With the traditional birth control pill you take a cycle of pills every day for 21 days and then 7 days of sugar pills. In the 7 days of the sugar pills you have a period. Today, there are pills that skip the 7 days of pills and you stay on pills for 3 months and then after the cycle of 3 months you have a period. In both cases after the period you start a new cycle of pills.

If you have been taking your pills the ones you take on your period are sugar. You want to start the real ones on the day you stop. Usually the sugar pills are a different color. If you pills aren't this way take them on day two as given by the directions of your pills.

My doctor said that it can stop your period. This pill is to lighten and shorten the length of your period. This pill has more days in which you actually take the bc pill. Other bc pills have like 4 fewer days then you take the sugar pills. If you want to have your period while taking this pill just disregard the last real pill. It should make your start your period. If not skip the last 2. I would talk to your doctor first.

it is not advised. you should finish all the pills at the alotted time and then you can start your new pack, if you are still on your period and the sugar pills are completed you can still move onto the next pack.

You are suppose to be off of the pill while you have your period. The pills you take during your period are only sugar and do nothing.

Yes, many women stop menstruating while taking BC pills.

I want to stop my period going on vacation what can i do i have a month to go and i need to get on something now help getting married and i need to enjoy my wedding day

Some women do gain weight while on contraceptive pills, and some do not. Skipping your period, or not taking the in-active green sugar pills, will not make you gain weight, it will just skip your period.

If you take birth control, simply skip the week of sugar pills and you won't get your period. If you're not, ask your doctor about birth control methods - there are some pills out there designed to stop your period for months at a time.

You can't stop your period early, not without pills and no guarantee with pills either. Menstruation is a process, it takes time for it to come to an end and it will end in its own time.

Yes, they have no active ingredients.

You should take the pills for 7 days to help you remember to take your pills, some of the pills that you take during your period depending on your RX have iron in them, because our iron levels drop when we have our period. You need to take them like their prescribed even if you stop bleeding before their over.

Yes, this is a way women have been avoiding having periods at inconvenient times for several years (during vacation, honeymoon, holidays) and was the reason drug companies started marketing pills intended to stop monthly period all together - or having short quarterly periods. There is no medical reason for women to have a monthly period and in fact the bleeding during the week you take placebo pills is not a period at all - it is withdrawal bleeding caused by hormonal drop when you stop taking active pills.

this is bad, you should definitely ask your local pharmacist or family doctor. you are supposed to get your period when you stop taking the pills for 7 days or take your sugar pills.

Your period should not start unless you take a placebo pill. If youre already in menstration, it will eventually stop your period until you start placebo. To skip. Period, just skip the sugar pills which do not do anything, and start your next active pill.

Yes, as long as you start taking the hormone pills when you are supposed to. The sugar pills are just to keep you in the habit and make sure you start the hormone pills on the correct day. If you are stopping taking pills altogether you need not take any sugar pills at all.

pills, pills, and more pills.... or make babies (only lasts 4 about 9 months)

If you just got them then i would wait until sunday or the day after you stop your period and you will start with pill number 1 then go to the sugar pills which you take while you are on your period!

Take the inactive (sugar) pills, then start your next packet on time. Some pills, for some women will stop your period from ever coming, as long as you are taking the pill. You can use a HPT once your period is a week late, if it is negative it is safe to assume you are not pregnant and your periods have stopped from taking BCP. If you have any questions call you prescribing doctor or clinic.
