That almost always means you need a new window regulator.
Should have push pin type locks all around the bottom of panel pry these out and then lift up to release the area around the window
If it is not a bad switch, the cable moving the window up and down probably came loose or broke. The window regulator comes as an assembly which includes the motor, cable and track. It costs around $70. The passenger window on mine did this. I have found that if I grasp the top of the window and move it forward, toward the front of the car it gets back on track and works fine.
Take the inside door panel off and determine why the window came off track in the first place then make repairs/adjustments.
mY PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW CAME OFF THE TRACK AND YOU NEED TO TAKE OFF DOOR PANEL,REMOVE SPEAKER ,LOSSEN 1 BOLT THAT HOLDS THE TRACK (ABOVE SPEAKER) WINDOW SHOULD GO BACK IN SOME WHAT EASY.THEM TIGHTEN BOLT AND PUT PANEL BACK ON.
i jus had the same thing happen to me the window guy put the track towards the middle n it kept comin off he came back n put it towards the front (close to the opening of the door) n i havent had a problem yet n make sure u put enough glue on it to keep it n there
The cable came off cause something broke, buy a new regulator.
well im not to sure about a 2000 but i have a 91 sonoma and same thing happend, what i did was actually took the window out, its a big pain but i pulled it out and looked at the track arm, i moved it a little lover than half way up and put the window back in then theres a little mettal rail at the bottom of the window, i just put that back on and got the window back on the tracks of the door, now if ur talking the track on the door not from the motor then u will have to put ur window down, kinda tilt it and look closely and try o get it back on track, not really hard just annoying i had to do both since i took the window out and put t back in
Fairly easy DIY fix. You'll most likely need a new window regulator.
I have a 2000 impala and my window came off the track afew times. It's the passenger window and the metal guide in the door is rusted and not as stable as it originaly was. So I took off the door panel and unmounted the speaker to loosen the track bolt at the base of the door and put it back together. The cause of the window falling off the track is when the window half or all the way down and someone closes the door that way. It jars the window inward and then unable to go up all the way. I have yet to find the replacement part or even know how much work it is to swap out. This is what I pay professionals for! A one our job for them can take us up to a day to do.
if it is power windows then the plug probably came undone or the fuse burnt out and if it is manual then you probably got the window off the track
open up the door panel which is a few screws and pull the door panel off, this will involve taking the speaker out aswell. on the bottom right hand corner of the door there will be a 10mm bolt that you will have to take out and that will release the bottom side of the track. from there just reach inside the door and put the window back inside the track and bolt the track back up. then put door panel back on.
a silhouette is a shadow or a void of an object or something. At the best it is more than a shadow, it is mastered by an artist skilled in hand-cutting portraits from viewing. At the worst, it is a tracing of a shadow, or a photo-shop. The word silhouette came from Augustin Edourt who changed the term "shades" which were often wall tracings, to silhouette after the authentic hand-cut profiles Etienne de Silhouette admired. silhouettesbycindi.com
