The Seven Years War was fought from 1756 to 1763, so you are looking at the mid 18th century. The Appalachian mountains (part of which is also confusingly termed the Allegheny mountains) extend from south-eastern Canada to Tennessee and Kentucky - a huge expanse of territory that was home to very many native tribes. Some of these are: in the far south Creeks and Cherokees; north of them were Shawnees and Delawares; north of them were the Iroquois tribes; north of them the Abenaki, Malecite and Mi'kmaq.
