* You may be referring to the TV series, M*A*S*H* (Mash), set during the Korean War. However the release date for this show was not until 1972. * One TV series that was in the 60s, was a show called Combat. This program was on ABC from 1962 through 1967. It starred Vic Morrow as Sergeant Saunders, and Rick Jason as Lieutenant Hanley.
Influenza (or the flu) was the disease that killed more men during the war then combat did.
