It's very annoying, isn't it, when the DVD player says that, but theres obviously something incompatible with the disc. Nothing you can do except try the disc in another player or in a computer. I have sometimes had the same problem - usually a different player will play it.

∙ 14y agoIf the player says this for all dvds, use a cleaning disk to clean the head. If this doesn't fix the problem, get a new player. If it does it for only one (or a few) disks, clean the disk. * Wash it in water containing a little dish soap * Use the stuff designed for hand use, not for dishwashers. * Wipe the disk all over. Use a clean soft cloth, preferably cotton. * Do not use anything made of paper. * Always wipe from the center straight out to the edge. * Do not wipe in a circular fashion. If any disk cannot be brought into working order, there are people who fix disks by putting a clear plastic coating on them. This usually works, but it's better to try buying a second-hand copy. If you can get one it will probably be cheaper than the repair.
