Mutilating animals merely for aesthetics or man's pleasure is considered animal abuse. So: no, don't. Its not mutilatin! It needs to be done by a experienced vet. When done right its an easy process and heals in no time. Is it for pleasure? Sure, but no diffrent then taking ur young daughter to get her ears pierced. Or even taking a cat in to get declawed. How about getting your pet spayed or nuetered, that sounds painful! And its only done so the owner doesnt have more responsability. And studies also show that getting ur pet fixed doesnt help your pet live longer, but the opposite! So, yes, if u want them done go for it.
