Earth's magnetic field results from the movement of charges in/on the earth. The rotation of the earth is one source of movement and orbiting is another source of movement. Electric currents and spinning charges could also create a magnetic field independent of the earth's movement.

∙ 13y agoThe earth's magnetic field probably originates from the liquid outer core. The liquid iron here encounters a lot of friction. The friction creates electricity, and the iron acts as an electromagnet. The electricity also creates a lot of heat. The power of the magnetic field is rapidly declining. In fact, at the rate that it is declining at, it would have been so powerful about 10,000 years ago that it would have melted the earth. Obviously the earth didn't melt, therefore the earth must be less than 10,000 years old. Evolution can't be true if the earth is that young, so Creation must be true.
