Best Answer

The watts because if you put a bulb that is in to much higher wattage than the one that you are chagning then it can cause too many problems and you can have a big piwer outage in you home

How many watts in an energy efficient light bulb?

100

How much does energy efficent light bulbs cost per hour?

There is actually no energy efficient light bulbs in a way to interpret in physical determination. Energy efficient means less Watts required per hour compared to non energy efficient.

What are the most energy efficient heaters?

Lasko space heaters use about 800 Watts and are very energy efficient, along with being very powerful.

How much energy is used by a streetlight per hour?

Yes, that's the question. A 1000 Watt light uses... 1000 Watts. A 500 Watt light uses, you guessed it... 500 watts. It depends on the size of the bulb. ACTUALLY... Watts are a measure of power, Joules are the measure of energy - you can simply convert watts/hour or watts/second to joules but to say that a 1000 Watt light bulb uses 1000 watts is a ridiculous thing to say =D watts are Wh-1 or Ws-1

How many joules of light energy are in 1440 watts of electrical energy?

A joule is a joule, whether it be electrical energy or light energy - although commonly, lamps are not 100% efficient. On the other hand, you can't convert joules directly to watts. Watts means joules per second (joules / second), or equivalently, joules is watts times seconds.A joule is a joule, whether it be electrical energy or light energy - although commonly, lamps are not 100% efficient. On the other hand, you can't convert joules directly to watts. How much energy does a 5 watt light bulb produce?

None. But it does convert 5 watts of electrical power (energy per unit time) into 5 watts of [light + thermal] power.

Effects of 25 watts to plants?

bad question.25 watts of light?25 watts of music? What kind of plants? What kind of light source?more information needed.

How long could 90 Js of energy light a 40 Watt light balb.?

Power (watts) = Energy (joules) / time (seconds). Thus, Time (seconds) = Energy (joules) / Power (watts) = 90J / 40W = 2.25s

Why is a 5 watt bulb brighter than a 25 watt bulb?

It depends on the type of bulb. Incandescent bulbs convert about 90% of the energy into heat and and only 10% is put off as light. LEDs, for instance, are much more efficient, converting almost 90% of the input energy to light. So, a 5 watt LED will convert about 4.5 watts to light, while a 25 watt incandescent will only convert 2.5 watts into light.

How much energy does it take to start a fluoresent light?

15 watts.

How much energy to produce one light?

Lights vary tremendously in power, but the normal incandescent bulb takes 100 watts. Low energy bulbs can give the same light at 20 watts

Why does energy saver give more light than electric bulb of same watt?

Both bulbs output the same amount of energy. The difference is in how much of that energy is output as heat vs the energy output as light. In a standard incandescent light bulb about 10% of the energy is output as light while the other 90% is output as heat. This makes the bulb only 10% efficient. For a florescent bulb the output of light is about 50% and the other 50% is output in heat. This means that a fluorescent bulb outputs five times as much light for the same wattage as a standard incandescent bulb, hence you can get the equivalent of 100 watts of light output for only 20 watts of electricity.
