They're used for shows. Lipizzans are used for dressage, combined training (jumping and dressage), cross country, trail riding, therapeutic riding, driving, circus, haute ecole (high school) and almost any other discipline other breeds are used for. They excel at dressage and driving.
There are 10 events in total: combined driving, dressage, endurance riding, eventing, paraequestrianism, reining, show jumping, and vaulting. The final two are horseball and tent pegging, but these have their own independent championships.

Many Welsh cobs are most known for driving, though they are now becoming quite popular in dressage and cross country as well.
Generally they are good at many things, but they look the part driving, single in pairs or more. They are strong ponies and good at weight carrying. Obviously can do breed shows and or working hunter pony type classes. Can also look good doing dressage due to their elevated and collected paces, especially in trot.
USEF. AR103 6. All horses competing in the Arabian, Half-Arabian, and Anglo-Arabian Hunter, Jumper, Dressage, Eventing, Combined Driving, Working Western, Reining Seat Equitation, Carriage Pleasure Driving and Sport Horse Sections shall be exempt from shoeing regulations. This does not exempt horses that are cross entered into any other classes from compliance with applicable shoeing requirements while competing in those classes
Slow down, don't slam on the brakes. Pretty much the same as driving any other truck. If it's empty, be especially careful (well, you should always be especially careful driving in snow, but anyhow..)
