A good example would be Australia, an island continent.
This type of isolation has enabled some amazing evolutionary convergences.
Causes might be vast distances as communities or individuals living in remote areas, certain land forms such as the Great Lakes, mountain ranges, desert areas, large rivers, islands, tectonic phenomina etc.
If a male firefly trys to impress a female and the female firefly does not recognize the patterns of light created by a male firefly. This is considered behavioral isolation because it is possible that the two fireflies are accustomed to different light.
Temporal Isolation is a prezygotic barrier preventing mating between species. An example is the American Toad (Bufo Americanus) and the Fowler's Toad (Bufo fowleri). These species have been mated in laboratory settings, but mating does not happen in the wild because the American Toad mates early in the summer, and the Fowler's Toad mates in late summer.
An example of behavioral isolation is that male fireflies of a variety of species signal to their female counterparts by flashing lights in certain patterns. Females will respond to the signal flashed by their own species. This is to prevent them from mating with other closely related firefly species.
There is an island with two mountains and a gang of baboons running all over it. Global warming causes the sea level to rise so that only the upper halves of the two mountains remain above water. Some of the baboons are stuck on one mountain and some on the other (they can't swim). Over a long, long time the baboons on mountain #1 who have to climb the trees to reach the fruit will become better climbers than the baboons on mountain #2 who can eat fruit from the bushes.
Ecological isolation is part of evolution. Ecological isolation explains how different species can have a native ancestor. The three types of ecological isolation are behavioral, geographic, and Temporal isolation.
Behavioral
You have two groups of birds that live on different parts of the valley. Group A likes a high pitched song and will only mate with birds with a high pitched song. But group B birds like a low pitched song and will only mate with birds that sing that song. Even though the birds are the same species they only mate with their group causing them over time to evolve into different species.
Geographic
A chain of mountains separates two populations of lizards they are the same species but on one side of the mountain the climate is rainy (windward side), but on the other side it`s very dry and has desert type of climate( leeward side). And the environmental pressures cause the same species of lizard to become different.
Temporal
This deals with time. Like, some flowers pollinate in the morning while others pollinate at night.

there are six types which are below: 1. geographical isolation 2. ecological (habitat) isolation 3. behavioral (ethological) isolation 4. temporal isolation 5. structural (mechanical) isolation 6. gamete mortality (gamete isolation)
Temporal isolation
Isolation can be due to behavioral, geographical, or temporal barriers.
The options for this question are a. behavioral isolationb. geographic isolationc. temporal isolationd. genetic driftProtogyny and protandrae
Temporal refers to a physical existence. Non-temporal would be spiritual.
Temporal isolation is genetic isolation achieved due to temporal differences in breeding
isolation due to population groups reproducing at different times.
Temporal isolation is a prezygotic constraints. Two species that breed at different times of the day, season, or year cannot mix their gametes. Since the breeding times are different there is no chance of reproductive contact. This keeps different species separate.
Temporal My Boy !
1. When new species form.2. When a group is separated from the rest of its species.3. When members of the isolated group can no longer mate with the rest of species.
Temporal
reproductive, behavioral, geographic, and temporal
Temporal Isolation
Temporal Isolation
If there is one bird bath and a male bird takes his bath there at night and the female bird takes her bath there in the morning then they will never meet. c:
