Friedrich Nietzsche in the 19th century created the Philosophy the Nazis would use to exterminate the Jews. Nietzsche used the doctrine, "Survival of the Fittest," to declare that the Arian Race was the fittest race. Nietzsche's writings spread through Germany for 50 years. The Jews were an inferior race. When the Nazis came to power in 1933, they used Nietzsche's writings as their Bible. The Nazis thought they were speeding up evolution. As a result, they tried to eliminate Jews, Gipsies, and Homosexuals.
