If it is overheating then you are low of coolant, thermostat is stuck closed, water pump is not working properly, radiator is clogged, cooling fan not working, air is in the system, or the head gasket is blown. First if you are loosing coolant with no apparent leak and see white smoke from the exhaust plus a foamy substance on the underside of the oil fill cap, you have a cracked head or blown head gasket. The gasket must be replaced. If you do not have a blown head gasket then do a full service on the cooling system. Set heater control to hot, Drain the coolant, flush the system, replace the thermostat, add a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and distilled water, & purge air from the system.
