Largest of the genus Micropterus. Number one freshwater gamefish on the planet, can grow to 20 pounds plus in rare cases. An aggresive gamefish, often strikes lures savagely. Found in rivers and lakes, tolerates warm water better than it's close relative the smallmouth bass.
