Faith is FAITH: Full Assurance In The Heart. Belief is something different. When you believe in something, you believe, but you are not absolutely sure about your beliefs. And that belief doesn't translate into an action of faith. What is faith? It is belief in action. When belief grows, it becomes faith. When we have faith, we surrender, we surrender to the Divine will. We accept the Divine will. When we believe, we live with hope. HOPE is Having Only Positive Expectations but when we have faith, it means our belief has graduated, evolved, gone further and become stronger.

This is the short answer. Essentially by the power of God. We know that believing God by faith has always been the way to salvation. The book of Hebrews has a "faith" chapter, (Hebrews 11). These people believed God and their believing came to them by different means of what God had done or said to them. Romans 10:17, "So then, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." People read or heard passages in the Old Testament which brought them to faith in God. Once God has given a person faith to believe in Him it is a permanent thing. They are held in God's hand forever. His power keeps us "hanging on".

faith of the world (faith) is like a roller coaster, some times you belief it will happen and sometimes you dont.. You might say this "well maybe it will happen, well maybe i get the job, or maybe i get healed.. Faith has two faces.. you believing and you being faithful to God.. God will give you the desires of your heart if you are faithful to him...trust in God no matter what.. and get in his word... and your faith will increase.. Faith of the World or the 'faith' that is generally considered faith by the average person is actually more like esoteric speculation in that its usually based more on 'feelings' concerning the person or subject than actual in-depth information. Whereas genuine FAITH(of the Bible-believing, Christ-centered Church) is first and foremost a gracious Gift of GOD given to those He has lovingly chosen. Its not something we come up with or 'formulate' ourselves, and it is surely not 'feelings' based. So the ONLY sameness that "faith of the world" & "FAITH of the Church" is the spelling, and be assured...that is ALL.
