Try The Lives of Christopher Chant, Charmed Life, Howl's Moving Castle, and all her other ones. They're great! The Cry of Icemark seems to be getting fairly popular. Christopher Paolini and Cornelia Funke also write well-known fantasy, if you haven't read them yet. There's also the Harry Potter series. :-D There are a lot more!
