ADHD means Attention Deficient Hyper-active disorder.

Some symptoms are getting distracted often, feeling a bit hyper at some points, can't stay still, this might mess with your grades a little bit.

Why does adderall make you feel like you have ADD?

It makes a regular person without ADHD feel like they do have ADHD. Probably because of the "wired" feeling, since it is a stimulant. Those with ADHD actually feel a paradoxical effect and feel calmer and focused as opposed to so "all over the place" per se. I have ADHD and take Adderall XR.

It all depends on what type of hyperness or anger they are feeling, and even then it goes into subcategories. Talk to the child to figure out what is best for them. But be careful, because I have ADHD and it makes me angry when people try to understand my condition.

Does video games cause ADHD?

No, video games do not cause ADHD. ADHD is a neurodevelopmental condition influenced by genetics, brain chemistry, and environmental factors, not by playing video games. That said, children with ADHD may be more drawn to fast-paced or highly stimulating games, which can sometimes make symptoms like distractibility or impulsivity more noticeable. For parents looking to support children with ADHD, selecting structured and purposeful play can be beneficial. Games for kids with ADHD are designed to engage attention, practice focus, and build executive function skills in a fun, interactive way. These types of games can help children strengthen self-regulation and problem-solving skills, turning screen time into an opportunity for skill-building rather than just entertainment.
