The Trinity is not directly quoted as such in The Bible, however, there are many references to it. Most notable is Mathew 28:19 and Second Corinthians 13:14. For more information, please see the related link below.

"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." 1 John 5:7 KJV

Another Answer:

The idea that God is a trinity simply cannot be found in Scripture. Even the Roman Catholic New Theological Dicitionary frankly admits this. In its article 'Trinity' it acknowledges: "As such, the Spirit is never the explicit object of NT worship, nor is the Spirit ever represented in NT discourse as interacting in an interpersonal way with the Father and Son" - the only two God Beings as of now.

Nearly all scholars and Commentaries agree that 1 John 5:7 was never in the inspired Greek manuscripts. They admit nearly unanimously that this was an insertion by a Monk into the Latin translation in Spain, circa 380 AD.

Consider the Apostle to the Gentiles, Paul's multiple writings. Nearly all acknowledge the Father and Son with their opening verse greetings. Not a one mentions anything close to a 'trinity' linking the Holy Spirit with God the Father and God the Son. We must seriously ask, 'would Paul ever dishonor or neglect the Person of God?' IMO, he undoubtedly was beheaded honoring God and doing all His works as inspired.

Christians believe that the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity. God the Father, and God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. This would make the Holy Spirit a He. Through out Scripture the attributes of God and a real person are attributed to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a He and not an it.
