Usually an airbag light blinks to signal a problem. The number of blinks tells the driver the code number, which informs the driver of the problem.
Your traction control is probably off. There is probably a button for it. It blinks to warn you that you have the traction control option off. It may also mean there is a problem with the system.
By fixing the problem that illuminated it. Get the codes read and fix the problem from there.

You turn off the check engine light on any vehicle by finding out why it is on and fixing the problem.
