They still do, but they started making them in 1987, long after the company launched their coloured crayons range.

Crayons were used in Europe for a long time. They started as a mix of charcaol and oil. Later, Edward Binney and Harold Smith revolutionized the invention by substituting charcoal with wax, and making sure that their product was non toxic so children could use them. In 1903 they put the crayons on the market using the brand name Crayola. Today there are 120 kinds of Crayola crayons that are available to be bought.

they started having color
Pencils were originally pieces of lead with string wrapped around them. When people started to make wooden casings for the pencils, they used high quality wood and covered the wood with varnish to show off the quality. The demand for wooden pencils rose, so people started to use lesser quaility wood and used paint on the wood. Therefore, the paint became a sign of cheapness. One man used a kind of graphite in his pencils instead of lead. He painted his pencils bright yellow and named his pencil the Koh-ih-noor, after the legendary Indian diamond, to make his pencils stand out. His pencils were so popular that other pencil makers started to paint their pencils yellow and naming them after jewels as well.
Graphite started being used in pencils in the 16th century. The first graphite pencils were developed in England in the mid-1500s when a large deposit of pure graphite was discovered. Initially, graphite sticks were wrapped in string or sheepskin for writing.

The first documented box of wax crayons stems from an 1885 article in American Stationer referencing Eagle Pencil Co. having developed a box. Franklin Mfg. Co. sold boxes of industry crayons starting in 1876 but these weren't the kind used for children as they contain toxic ingredients. Franklin and Standard crayon started doing their school crayons around 1894. Milton Bradley and Dixon Ticonderoga began selling crayons around this time too. Ads and references can be found in trade magazines dating from that era but there is currently nothing to substantiate who sold first. The same goes for Europe. Conte was selling crayons very early and the Faber family from Germany did as well. It's hard to differentiate which were selling colored pencils and which were selling wax crayons as they referred to both as crayons.
UNICEF started because people in the world started dying since they didn't have supplies they needed.
I want to know how others started their company
Ruby Bridges started using brown crayons to color her pictures as a way to represent herself and her identity. As the first African American child to integrate an all-white school in New Orleans, she sought to express her experiences and heritage through her artwork. The choice of brown crayons symbolized her pride in her race and culture during a time of significant racial tension and segregation.
