place rifle in airline approved case and sign the card that it is not loaded. Place ammo in luggage, but not in gun case. When you arrive at air port tell them what you have and they take it from there.
Gun will be checked and case locked. Make sure yo have the key and case is left unlocked ot allow inspection.
