Tie wire should be used always, not welding. Rebar integrety is comprimised when welded. A specific grade of rebar, A706, exists for welding but otherwise, its is not advised that rebar be welded. See below:

Q: When is it appropriate to use welded splices in the field? A: The ACI 318 Building Code requires the architect/engineer to indicate the type and location of welded splices of reinforcing bars on the project drawings or in the project specifications. The ACI 318 Building Code further requires that all welded splices should conform to the Structural Welding Code for Reinforcing Steel published by the American Welding Society, which requires the project contractor to prepare written welding procedure specifications (WPS) for all welded splices. These will depend heavily on the assessment of carbon-equivalent (CE) and other rebar properties as determined by the mill test reports that accompany each shipment. For more information about welding reinforcing steel, see the American Welding Society's (AWS)

Structural Welding Code for Reinforcing Steel.

Q: Can tack welding be used to hold reinforcing bars during assembly? A: Field tack welding should never be used as a substitute for tying in assembling and securing reinforcing bars. Rare exceptions are specified in the International Building Code.

What is the bond stress between PVC and concrete?

From my experience, cast concrete readily separates from industrial gray pvc without requiring any release at all. This does not include cellular concrete, which is very sticky.

What are some of the different concrete floor finishes?

There are different varieties of concrete floor finishes. Some include, Chemical staining, Scoring, Concrete Stamping, and even implementing the usage of colored release agents.

What is the difference between lap splice length and development length for rebars?

The difference between the two is in the application. A development length is the amount of rebar length that is needed to be embedded or projected into concrete to create a desired bond strength between the two materials. The lap splice length is the length two rebar pieces must overlap and be tied together to create a bond as if there was no break and the run is "continuous". So simply put, development is rebar to concrete, splice is rebar to rebar. The lengths of both splice and development do vary. They are dependent upon different factors. These include but are not limited to concrete strength, rebar size, rebar coating and concrete cover or clearance. So when you see a chart on one project, it can differ from another for these reasons.

What steps are required to locate math.h in C plus plus?

To find math.h, simply include it ... #include <math.h> ... The compiler knows where the standard libraries are. This is a function of where the compiler is installed, and varies from system to system. By using the carets (< and >) you are telling the compiler to look in the "standard" places.

Mixture combination of 1 cubic meter concrete?

The mixture depends on the concrete strength, flow properties and other specifications required, quality of cement, aggregates and other chemical additives that will be used. Typically 1 cubic meter concrete should include about 310kg cement, 800kg sand, 900kg gravel and 220kg water.

How much does it cost to buy concrete?

Estimating concrete prices is not an easy exercise, as many factors are involved in pricing concrete. Some of these factors include the following: grading, subbase preparation, concrete forms and finishing, reinforcement, and the cost of concrete.

Is lift an embedded system?

An embedded system has historically been defined as a single function product where the intelligence is embedded in the system. It could be anything from a dishwasher to a hearing aid, if that product includes a microprocessor and software. Many of today's embedded systems are looking more like PCs with user interfaces, touchscreens, displays, keypads and more. Still, these are not general function systems but are designed to perform very specific functions. I would certainly include lifts (elevators) as an embedded system. Today's lifts include detailed control systems that not only manage lift operations but include capabilities to link to other building control systems and off-site monitoring stations.
