The Oktoberfest is the worlds largest fair, it is an experience that one never forgets.
In 1985 when of over 7 million people visited the Oktoberfest, a new record was set and is still unbeaten.
In 2007 there were 6.2 million visitors, who consumed 69.406 hectoliters (1,804,556 gallons US) of beer which was a new record, 521.872 half chickens and 142.253 pairs of Pork sausages were devoured. They were served by approximately 12,000 waiters and waitresses.
In 2008 the Oktoberfest starts on 20th September and lasts until 5th October.
