yes!
should be non interference
The engine is a non-interference engine.
I was told by my local ford dealership that it indeed is a non interference designed engine. The dual overhead vct cam engine
It is a NON interference engine according to the Gates website ( they make timing belts etc . )
Yep non interference. I know cause I am majic and I just know my stuff
I will say it is a non interference engine in the z tech. My research and conversations with ford mechanics say that the z tech Mazda ford engine is the same in the contour/mystique ford escort zx2 and some Mazda labelled vehicles. If info and research says the escort or the countour is non interference then I would believe the same with the Focus.
The engine is pukka
Yes , it is not an interference engine
The 1.9L Ford engine is NON-interference.
I assume you're talking about the 4-cylinder engine, and yes, it is a non-interference engine. The pistons have "cutouts"to prevent the valves hitting them in case the timing belt breaks. This doesn't apply to the V6, of course, since it has a timing chain, rather than a belt.
