remove pump with line then change and reistall
I don't believe you can because the oil pan on vans are double sump pans and there wouldn't be anyway to get the pan out of the way because of the crossmember.
replace the whole steering wheel cause once the buttons have melted??...they wont work anyway.
The power steering pump end is straightforward. The steering box end is more difficult. When I did mine, I found I had to remove the radiator to get to the fittings, and they were so badly corroded in place I needed to remove the grill also, to get enough leverage on a wrench to turn them. While in the vicinity of the steering box, check the mounting plates that hold the steering box to the frame. They are not especially robust, and can rust and break. If you need to replace the mounting plates anyway, it might be practical to take off the steering box and drop it down below the bumper attached to the hoses, where you can get a wrench on the hose fittings.
as far as i know you cant put power steering in any classic/old mini 1959 to 2000 but this is unnecessary as they have light steering anyway/
Without the receipt you will probably have to buy another one
Hi, Had to replace the entire unit on the steering column. It works fine now. Thanks anyway. Zimmie
The Internet, phone, seein them on the street, pulling them over. Anyway they see fit, really.
No, but impossible to check anything else if it is leaking. And if the rack and pinon is leaking, then it will have to be changed anyway.
It could mean that it needs to be flushed and refilled. If that does not fix it then it is time to replace it. Ford rangers have a bit of whine to them anyway at least the last 4 new one s I had did and even others say the same thing.
Don't look on this site anyway
Definitely NOT a job for the amateur. Very tricky and you really have to get the manual to learn how to do it. (personally, I wouldn't own ANY vehicle without getting the manual for it anyway)
do it anyway without getting caught
