1. Francis Drake was born in Travistock Denvon in England. He was born in 1540 and died when he was 54, from a tropical disease.He was the oldest out of tweleve children and his fathers and his fathers name was Edmund Drake, and his mothers names was Dau Mylwaye. His father was apreacher at his church. Francis Drake was married twice once to Mary Newman and then to Elizabeth Sydenham. He had no children with either wives. In 1581,his family moved to Portugal,and the people there called themselves "Sea Dogs."
