easiest way is on their website which is continental dot com
Most airlines have different procedures for cashing in your frequent flyer miles. Most airlines will now let you redeem them online, when booking a new flight. Or they will issues you a certificate once you have obtained enough redeemable frequent flyer miles.
No, most airlines will not let you convert your frequent flyer miles into cash. This is because the airlines would like for you to fly with them again, and if they instead give you cash then you are able to spend it wherever you would like.

It would be much more difficult but not impossible as Continental no longer exist and were taken over by United Airlines. However, Continentals FF numbers were/are used by United. So if you go to the United Airlines website and log on with your old Continental FF number and password, your account can be checked. Beware, your miles expire on United so if you have had no activity for 2 years your FF balance will be zero miles.
Any airline in the Skyteam alliance - but particularly with AirFrance and KLM
