The Snowman
It is different every year
Peter Auty is a former choirboy, he sang "Walking in the air". Auty's version was used as the theme song to the 1982 film, The Snowman.
"the snowman"
I have seen many movies, but i believe it is in The Flying Snowman.
Aled Jones is a very popular singer. He became popular when he released his cover version of the song "Walking in the Air," a song taken from the 1982 animated film "The Snowman."
Howard Blake wrote the lyrics and composed the music for the animated film 'The Snowman'
Lester Mendez not only produced the song Walking on Air, a song about following your dreams and just going with the glow, but he co-wrote it with Kerli.
Snowmen are generally associated with Christmas. As a result, snowmen do not appear in many cartoons until late in the year, when channels air holiday-themed programming. The famous classic cartoon Frosty the Snowman airs on many different channels each December, and is the most well-known of all snowman cartoons.
The original 1978 story of the Snowman (by Raymon Briggs) did not contain a prose story; it was just a book containing images. In 1982 it was turned into an animated film, but this too did not contain words, though there was a musical score by Howard Blake. The narrater to which you probably refer is Bernard Cribbins (also the narrator of The Wombles), in a version produced in 1983. This featured the 1982 score, interspersed with an elaboration of the story depicted by the pictures from the original 1978 book. Several non-narrating voices have appeared in alternative productions of the story. These include Peter Auty, who sang the "Walking in the Air" song as featured in the film (the better-known Aled Jones sang on the single which reached position 5 in the UK charts a few years later), and David Bowie and Mel Smith, the latter two who have each given a spoken introduction to alternative productions.
"Walking in the Air" was first released in 1982 as part of the animated film "The Snowman," which is based on Raymond Briggs' book of the same name. The song was performed by St Paul's Cathedral choirboy Peter Auty in the film, but it gained wider recognition when it was later recorded by Aled Jones, whose version was released as a single in 1985.
