The Trialblazer is equiped with ant intergeral fuel pump/ filter assembly. There is no need to change it unless the pump fails. If you are having drivability problems, and believe that there is an issue with the fuel, Either take it to your local dealer or mechanic.
Yes, but it may be a permanent filter mounted in the fuel tank.
We have an 05 trailblazer (not ext) and found out the fuel filter is inside the gas tank. Big bummer as my husband can't change it himself. Dealer said they don't "Change" the filter so much as they clean all the fuel injectors. ??? I was confused about it. You don't. It is considerd a non servicable item. It is part of the fuel pump module.
along the frameof truck follow back from tank
Inside the left side rail just under the drivers side door.
Under truck next to frame, on drivers side
In the 2004 models GM. moved the fuel filter from the driver's side FRAME RAIL to the fuel tank. It is inside of the fuel tank. You will either have to raise the truck bed up to get it out of the top of the tank, or you can drop the fuel tank down and get to it. That is sad on GMs. part to do that.
there are two one in the frame rail just outside the fuel tank and one at the front.

It has 1 fuel filter up in the drivers side frame rail behind the cab. You will have to slid in under the truck to see it.
