Back of vehicle... silver looking cannister, need special tool to remove one side of the line. You can use a renuzit cap, cut shaft off and slice down middle, this will work as the tool does. Slide it down the line into the filter and push in while pulling out the line. Makes a big gas mess so be prepared and have rags. Thanks,
Wes
If the fuel gauge on your 2006 Cobalt is not working properly, it may be due to a faulty fuel sending unit, a blown fuse, or a malfunctioning instrument cluster. It is recommended to have a mechanic diagnose and repair the issue to ensure accurate fuel level readings.
If your having problems the fuel sensor is probably bad and it's in the gas tank and the tank has to come out to replace it.
The fuel injectors on a Cobalt SS are located on the fuel rail, which runs along the top of the engine. They are responsible for spraying fuel into the intake manifold for combustion in the engine cylinders.

The fuel sensor in a Proton Wira is usually located inside the fuel tank. It is responsible for measuring the level of fuel in the tank and sending that information to the fuel gauge on the dashboard.
The driver information center button on a 2005 Cobalt is typically located on the instrument panel or steering wheel. It is often labeled with an "i" or "info" icon and allows the driver to cycle through different display options like trip information, fuel economy, and vehicle settings.
There could be several reasons for this issue with your gas gauge. It could be a malfunction in the sending unit in the fuel tank, a problem with the gauge itself, or even a wiring issue. I recommend having a mechanic inspect and diagnose the problem to determine the exact cause.
cobalt 2006 fuel pressure pump
13.9 gallons
no, the tank has to come down to get to it.
Roughly 13 gallons
the filter on my 06 cobalt ss is in the fuel tank.. yours may be too
the fuel pump is located in the fuel pump module assembly inside the fuel tank
GM vehicles do not use inertia/reset switches.
in the center of the car....underneath.....about 3 feet in from rear bumper.
A bad fuel sending unit, a fault in the circuitry for the fuel sending unit, or possibly a faulty gauge.
A gauge for measuring fuel in a tank.
Reset a fuel gauge? There is not reset for a fuel gauge.
The fuel gauge will no longer give an accurate reading.
