OMC recommends 24:1, UNLESS it's a Johnson oil "TCW-III". Then you can get away with 50:1, no problem.
Johnson outboards, model RDS-24L, would be a 1962 year model, 40 hp. the boat motor is a 50 hp.

A 1986 year model 30hp Johnson outboard uses a 50:1 fuel to oil ratio.
It depends what year. The older ones use 24:1.
