Some examples would be: Basic welding which would include things like patching or repairing items such as auto mufflers, farm equipment, personal property or consumer items. Semi advanced welding which would include things like non code fabrication and repair of items such as ornamental metals, trailer building, or non critical fabrications. Advanced welding which would include welding on buildings, pipelines, bridges, etc.. This area generally requires welding certification. Super skilled welding which would include welding medical, aerospace, nuclear, underwater, etc.. In some industries, you are required to weld, prepare and grind, move your equipment and supplies. In others, you could be at a work bench with cotton gloves while others prepare or move your supplies and equipment for you.
