It was the #5 Cyl Ignition Coil that caused the problem. Replaced it.
After disconnecting the battery - The error codes cleared for about a day but then came back. Same codes.
I decided to leave the check engine light on and see if the codes would clear on their own. Since my car was bought in California and I now live in Colorado Springs (major altitude change), I had to run the car for about week before the Fuel/Air mixture computer got the adjustments right and the check engine light went off.
it could be the crank shaft sensor or cam sensor i would have the codes pulled to see if these come up.
p1399 is manufacturer control ignition system or missfire, this code could be coils, plugwires, or plugs,
...could be allot of reasons why you may not be getting spark, here are some: # no power to ignition coil. faulty ignition. # faulty distributer cap, rotor. # faulty ignition module. # check for start signal from ecm. ...and there is a few more.
stratus clouds could cause rain and if they get to close to the ground they cause fog.
The computer has detected a malfunction. Sugest that you have it checked for codes. Could be anything from a cracked vacuum hose up to an internal engine problem.
if you're getting fuel to the throttle body it could be the ignition module if your getting fuel this is more than likely the problem, it could be coil pack if not getting any spark from any of your plug wires if your not getting fuel or spark at the same time i believe it may be your control module if control module is out u wont get fuel or fire my 89 is getting fuel but no sspark and i was told it was my ignition module auto zone knew exactly what my problem was try calling them they can also test your ignition module before u spend money on one if its not the ignition module
Could be a weak ignition coil Check for fuel and spark
Have the ignition module in distributor checked.... could solve your problem (it solved mine!!)
I had a 2002 Dodge truck and I could turn the ignition over 3 times without starting and the code would flash. Then look on the net for the codes' meaning.
There are a few things that it could be if you Dodge Stratus wont start on first try. It could be the starter.
it could be just a faulty gas cap or faulty computer go to your local parts store they should be able to check the codes and tell you the problem
It could be the coil pack or the crankshaft position sensor. run the codes by turning the key on, off, on, off, on without turn the key to start position. shotly after the check engine light goes off, the check engine lght will flash 2 digit fault codes. if 11 is one of the codes its likely a bad crank sensor.
