It's counter-productive to think of estimates as correct or incorrect since estimates, by definition, are not supposed to be correct but that way of thinking will seriously annoy your teacher. Here's what the teacher wants to hear: Fern's estimate is incorrect since she should have rounded 548 up to 550 and got 420. That estimate is closer to the actual difference. Fern is a tragically misguided girl.
