A waitress is the female that brings you your food in a restaurant. The male version is waiter. To be an extraordinary waitress, one must anticipate her customer's wants and needs and provide them without being asked. Sher must also be personable, efficient, cheery, and polite. It is her job to make your dining experience a memorable one. The extraodinary waitress is one who will make you feel that you are in HER home, not in a dining establishment. Just as your mother provides for your every need, so does the waitress extrodinaire. To illustrate..my dining experience was memorable. The young lady greeted us with a smile, water, and a gentle greeting. She made suggestions about the menu, consulted with us about available choices, and inspected the area to insure that we had every thing we needed. She was back in a short time with the food, giving it to us hot, fresh, and exactly as we ordered. She produced odd condiments that we mentioned and kept our beverage glasses filled to the point that we did not notice how much we had drank. She removed our plates even as she handed out dessert menus and made an excellent suggestion about a special dessert. Within seconds, she produced the dessert, coffee, and another dazzling smile. She was solicitous of our comfort, and did so in an inobtrusive manner. At the end as she presented the bill, she said,"I can't sing and I won't dance, so I will leave you now. You will come again, won't you?" Once again with that smile and delightful attitude. She received a very large tip.
