That really depends on the judge in the city or county of the state that you were charged in. You can bet that at 36 over it will probably be a felony offense.(Sorry)
There is a limit to how fast you can drive over the speed limit before it is considered a felony. I'm pretty certain that limit is 20 mph over in most states.
I am age 51 now. When I was younger and wiser(LOL) I had more speeding tickets than anyone I knew. I had my driving priviledges suspended twice. If that isn't enough, I even had my temporary learning permit(age 16) suspended for driving without a licensed driver. If life was a horse race, I couldn't even get out of the chute.
Today I am proud to say that I haven't had a ticket for 20 yrs. I am the slow poke(obeying the speed limit) that people are trying to get around.
Please slow down. Get yourself an iPod, plug it in to your radio and listen to something constructive while you drive. It is cheaper, safer and before you know it you will have arrived at your destination.

If the police say you were going 57 miles per hour in a 45 mph zone, how much will your fine be
In Texas, a basic speeding ticket fine for going 49 mph in a 35 mph zone is $200. If it occurred in a school zone it is $250, and if it occurred in a construction zone it is $295.
Depends on what state the violation occurred in.
Not necessarily. The fine is based upon the infraction. For example, if for the 1st ticket you were going 90 MPH in a 25 MPH zone and for the 2nd ticket you were going 30 MPH in a 25 MPH zone, the 2nd ticket's fine would be less than the first. That's plain logic.
If you get a speeding ticket going 86 mph in a 55 mph zone in New York, you may get your license taken away. You will have a hefty fine and may have to go to court over it.
chances are it's going to be $300+
im Missouri its $10 per mph over the speed limit, and its $20 per mph in a double fine zone
If you are going 89 miles an hour in a 55 mph zone, what happens depends on where you are and if a cop catches you. If you are in Virginia and some other states, it is a big fine plus 90 days in jail. In other states it is about an $100 fine. Other places are in between.
He was arrested in 1955 for going 35 mph in a 25 mph zone.
25 dollars
That would depend on the state laws and the posted speed. But it will be a dramatic amount, regardless. Many, if not all, states have enacted laws that double or triple fines in a work zone.
In Florida, fines are doubled for speeding in a construction or school zone. Fines vary by county in Florida. You should check with your county clerk in order to assess your fine.
