There are currently hundreds of breeds of cattle worldwide, though not all of them are have recognized breed associations. Some are purebred and others are hybrids of two or more different breeds.
Depends on the people naming them. Many just name cows according to the number or number-letter combination on their ear tags (especially if they have a large herd with cattle that look almost the same as the other), others will name their cows anything from Sirloin to Bessy or Bonnie. It just depends on the owner and how much they want to humanize their cows/cattle.
The names i like are thunder, cinnimion, peaches, just some cute little catchy idea! Hope I helped!
