There are a few reasons a 1997 Honda Accord may not start. It is possible that the battery is dead or that it is out of gas. Another possibility is that the starter is worn out.

Could be a number of things.1.Battery.2.Empty Tank.3.Broken fuel pump.4.Spark plugs.
Maybe a weak fuel pump?
Did you check the ECU fuse in the fuse box?
Somewhere in the side of the motor is a sensor called the oil pressure sensor. Unscrew that sensor and screw in the line for reading the oil pressure. Start the motor up and get your reading. Compare it to specs.
A block heater for a Honda Accord helps to quickly raise the temperature of the car to the proper heat level. This allows for a quicker engine start-ups.
Fuel pressure? spark?
Replace your distributor cap, it probably has a crack in it.
check your main relay and connections
Did you chaeck the fuel pump?
all spark plug gaps are wrong ( dont always they set correct from factory) or you have got the plug lead positions wrong firing order 1-3-4-2
There are several things that can cause your 1992 Honda Accord to start and then die out. The most common cause is an inconsistent flow of fuel. This can be caused by a dirty fuel filter.
