The reaction between silvernitrate and potassium chloride during titration produces silver chloride which exist as solid(precipitate) and potassium nitrate an aqueous solution. Since the number/ concentration of freely moving ions in the resulting mixture is decreasing the electrical conductivity of the resulting mixture will decrease. Once the reaction is complete, the electrical conductivity will be minimum because at this stage only the freely moving ions in the potassium nitare able to conduct electric. Further addition of silver nitrate into the resulting mixture increases the concentration of freely moving ions hence increasing the electrical conductivity. The graph in V shape form

Why HCl is used in titration of mohr salt and potassium dichromate?

Hydrochloric acid (HCl) is used in the titration of Mohr's salt and potassium dichromate because it reacts with Mohr's salt to form ferric chloride and with potassium dichromate to form chromium chloride. These reactions result in the formation of a color change in the solution which allows for the end point of the titration to be easily detected.

What is Fajan's method of argentometric titration?

Fajan's method of argentometric titration involves the use of potassium chromate as an indicator to detect the end point of a titration between silver ions and chloride ions. The indicator changes color from yellow to red when all the chloride ions have reacted with the silver ions, marking the end point of the titration.

What is the compound name for KCl?

Potassium chloride

Does potassium chloride contain gluten?

No, potassium chloride contains potassium chloride.

What salts are made from titration?

Salts formed from titration depend on the reactants involved. For example, the reaction between hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide forms sodium chloride (table salt) and water. Similarly, the reaction between sulfuric acid and potassium hydroxide forms potassium sulfate and water.

Can potassium chloride be prepared from zinc and hydrogen chloride?

No, reacting zinc with hydrogen chloride will yield zinc chloride and hydrogen gas. Potassium chloride can be prepared by reacting potassium with hydrogen chloride or (more safely) potassium hydroxide with hydrogen chloride.

How do you Subtract chloride from potassium chloride?

Potassium chloride is react with AgNO3 , the chloride ion subtract from potassium chloride to form silver chloride precipitate and potassium nirate. KCl + AgNO3 → KNO3 + AgCl↓
