Guinea Pigs need Hay and Fruits and Vegetables high in Vitamin C. If you can't get Fruits or Veggies, consider getting flavored Vitamin C pellets made for Guinea Pigs. However, you should definitely try to get them more Vitamin C than just the pellets, because even some of the best ones don't have barely enough Vitamin C to keep Guinea Pigs healthy. Also, HAY IS NECESSARY. I really cannot stress that enough. Hay should make up the bulk of their diet. Guinea Pigs are prone to overeating, because they will chew on and try to eat basically ANYTHING you put in front of them. I recommend giving them 1/2 cup 2 times a day (1/2 in the morning, 1/2 at night) of a blend of veggies, hay, and pellets if you've decided to include them. As with fruit, only give them 1 small piece a day. I hope this answered your question.
