You connect the batteries in series Red charger lead to one red battery terminal, then the black battery terminal of that battery to the red battery terminal of the second battery. Then black battery terminal of the second battery to the black lead of the charger.
connect the positive (red) cable first then negative (black)
Connect the positive + red charger cable to the positive + red battery post. Then connect the negative - black charger cable to the engine somewhere. Most engines have something metal sticking up that you can connect to. Do not connect the negative charge cable to the negative battery post, always connect it to the engine.
red to positive, black to negative
You connect the cables BEFORE you plug in or turn on the charger. Positive (red) to battery positive first, then negative (black) to battery ground. Then you turn on your charger and set the timer.
you put the red jumper on the posotive side and the black one on the negative battery side. Connect positive of one battery to the positive of the other. Then connect the negative of one to the negative of the other. Red to red, black to black.
Yes you can if the battery is the problem. connect the red on car with good battery to the positive ( + ) terminal, then the red on the dead battery, connect the black to the negative ( - ) on the good battery and the black to a good chassis ground( exposed metal in engine bay ) a good spot is the strut mount bolt.
the motor should have two leads, usually a black and a white. connect the white to the fusebox and the black to a ground.
Connect the + (Red) first
Connect them in series. With the 2 batteries sitting side by side just connect the negative terminal (-) on battery # 1 to the positive terminal (+) of battery # 2. Now connect the red hot cable to the positive terminal of battery # 1. Then connect the negative black cable to battery #2. You will have 12 volts but the amperage of only 1 battery.
You can jumpstart your BMW 328 by connecting jumper cables to your battery and to the battery of another vehicle. Connect the red handles to the positive post, on each battery. Connect the black handles to the negative posts, on each battery. Start the working automobile to charge the nonworking battery.
Red onto the positive post Black onto the negative post
