If you bought them at a shop that is still in business you might ask the owner to check his records. If the shop is closed, you are out of luck.

How do you find guns registered?

had some shotguns stolen . . . . need to get the serial numbers If you are the original owner and you don't have them, unless the gun dealer you rpurchased them from recorded them in his records, you are out of luck. (in the US) there is no required "registration" of firearms with the government.

Where on a H and R model 348 Gamester 12 gauge is the serial number?

Does not have a serial number, nor does it need one. Manufactured 1949-1954. Serial numbers were not required by law on rifles and shotguns until 1968. Perfectly legal to own.

Where is the location of the serial number on a springfield 22sllr model 15 rifle?

It may not have one. Serial numbers were not required by law on rifles and shotguns until 1968. A large percentage of .22 rifles made prior to 1968 did not have (or need) a serial number. And yes, they are perfectly legal.

When was your Winchester model 67 made?

Would need a serial to identify the year. But the model 67 didn't have serial numbers, they were made from 1934 to 1963. Winchester Model 67 and 67a were made from 1934 to 1963 having no serial number. To add briefly to above- US law did not require rifles or shotguns to have serial numbers until 1968. Determining the exact age of many firearms is simply not possible.

How do you find model number on your Remington semi-auto shotgun?

Remington Model numbers are normally on the left face of the receiver. Early shotguns and rifles did not have a model on them at all. Like for example the early Model 11 shotguns which I suspect you have if it doesn't have a model. probably pre-20's need serial to know.

Can you look for a stolen Uzi with serial number SA68207?

If it's not reported stolen, you need to do that immediately. If it's taken into custody by law enforcement, the serial numbers will be run. If it's taken into possession by an FFL licensed firearms dealer, they're also required to run the numbers, and it will come back to them if it's stolen. Once the NICS system receives a report of a confirmed stolen firearm, police will be dispatched immediately to retrieve the weapon, and arrest the person who was in possession of it. At some point, you will be notified. If the weapon is able to be returned to you, you will be contacted with instructions as to how to go about doing this. So long as it is reported stolen, there really isn't much else you can do.

Find out who asked the question about the JC Higgens 22 If the serial number is correct that firearm is stolen From me?

Please note- Most JC Higgins 22s were made prior to 1968, and did not HAVE a serial number. What many people mistake for a serial number is the Sears MODEL number. Until the 1968 Gun Control Act, rifles and shotguns were not required to have a serial number. I'm sorry. You may contact me through my message board if you need more information.
