If your hamster bedding looks brown it needs to be changed. Urine turns the bedding brown. It should be changed weekly.
Vets call it "wet tail" so basically if your hamsters tail is wet or discoloured you should see a vet. Hope this helped =)
Chances are, if it looks like your stereotypical hamster, it is a hamster. If it doesn't, it's a rabbit.
one that is really healthy and one that looks cute
first you need to take all of the things out(including the hamster/ginni pig). you can keep the water jug thing in if you want unless you are changing/refilling the water in it. either use your hands(make sure you are wearing gloves...one, that's descusting if you don't and two, you don't want any sort of infection from the urine in the bedding) or use a shovel to scoop out the poop and dirty bedding. after you take out the dirty bedding(make sure you put it in a bag then throw it away) place new bedding into the cage where you took out the old bedding. if there are any spots of bedding that look like they need to be taken out and replaced, do so...even if they are not urinated on. after you replace the bedding, clean the toys/objects you took out and dry them if you used water to clean them(which you should to propperly clean) and place them back in the cage. once all of the objects are in and the clean looks like new, place the hamster/ginni pig back in it's cage. hope i helped want to keep your hamster happy and healthy
Gerbil
I think you can only get salmonellosis from a hamster but its very very very very VERY rare to get it; your hamster probably wont have it if he/she looks fine when you get the hamster. but anything else i dont think you can get from a hamster.
when the dog defecates and a mouse looking figure is covered in brown fickle matter and well the cat might have it aswell because it looks like a mouse
She might be allergic to the bedding. If you are using aspen bedding, this is probably it. Eco bedding will not make your gerbil have an allergic reaction. Still, I would consult with your vet to make sure.
A ground hog.
it wants to be left alone
Take it to the vets quickly!
A vole is an animal that starts with v and looks like a hampster.
