Yes. Don't think it had a fancy name, just called TOYOTA Mini VAN. Small, boxy shape. Great little car for the city. you had the dyna, hi-ace, lite ace, etc.
No. The Toyota Tarago is Australia's version of the Toyota Previa.
Toyota Sienna is AWD. Honda Odessy is not.
Reliability depends on the brand. Japanese minivans such as Honda Odyssey, Toyota Sienna, Mazda MPV/Mazda5 are some of the best minivans on the market. Minivans produced by GM are some of the least reliable, such as Buick Terraza, Chevrolet Uplander, Saturn Relay, and Chevrolet Astro/GMC Safari. Nissan Quest was ranked as one of the least dependable minivans. Dodge (Grand) Caravan isn't recommended, although vans from Chrysler last longer than GM. Toyota Sienna was ranked as the most reliable minvan. Overall, in my opinion, Japanese minivans are better.
Mazda MPV was introduced in 1989, but was replaced by the smaller Mazda5 after the 2006 model year. Toyota introduced the Previa in 1991 but later replaced by the Sienna after 1997. In 1993 Nissan came out with Quest, and Honda came out with Odyssey in 1995.
The top 4 Hybrid minivans according to Motor Trends are three different Toyotas and one Honda. These vehicles are the Toyota Sienna, Toyota Estima, Toyota Prius and the Honda Odyssey.
Toyota Previa was created in 1990.
Toyota has a variety of minivans and options available. A new model ranges from $25,000 to $40,000.
